Skywriter MD, a virtual medical scribe service provider supporting healthcare systems across the United States, is expanding its operations in the Brazos Valley with a new, larger location and additional hiring.

Located in a 10,000 sq. ft. facility in Aggieland Business Park since its 2019 arrival, Skywriter MD’s Brazos Valley Skycenter is moving into 16,000 sq. ft. in the Galleria Village Tower on Briarcrest Drive in Bryan.

Tracy Rue

“Skywriter MD is thrilled to have the opportunity to expand our presence in the Brazos Valley,” said Founder/President/CEO Tracy Rue. “The Bryan/College Station area has proven, since our arrival almost two years ago, to provide us with not only a highly intelligent workforce, but a driven one. We will be expanding our employee base by no less than 100 employees in the coming months. Thank you to the Bryan mayor, the Brazos Valley Economic Development Corporation, Stafford Barrett Commercial Realty and the entire community for supporting our goals.”

Founded in 2015, the company employs virtual scribes called Skywriters who use a software collaboration tool to connect in real-time to physicians seeing patients. Skywriters navigate electronic medical records, enter data, pend orders, create instructions and more. As a result, the physicians are able to spend more time with their patients and with a better focus on them. To help foster familiarity, designated teams of Skywriters are consistently assigned to each physician group, including Brazos Valley healthcare providers.

The workforce needs of Skywriter MD have been met in large part by the medical programs offered through Texas A&M University and the Blinn College District. Though people aspiring to pursue careers in medicine are traditional employees, the company has also found English majors to be successful.

New Skywriters are being sought by the company with a focus on full-time availability and intentions to hire about 15 people each month. Training classes will be held, with the next class scheduled for June 21. Information on open positions can be found at skywritermd.com

Andrew Nelson

“I’m delighted by Skywriter MD’s growth and success here in Bryan/College Station and pleased they continue to find local workforce and infrastructure solutions for their growing business,” said City of Bryan Mayor Andrew Nelson. “The City of Bryan welcomes them into their expanded home at the Galleria Village Tower.”

Matt Prochaska

“From our initial conversations with leadership, we felt strongly that Skywriter MD would find success providing its innovative services across the country, and we are thrilled their business achievements are taking place from our community and with our well-educated workforce,” said Brazos Valley Economic Development Corporation President/CEO Matt Prochaska. “We congratulate the company and its tremendous team on the continued growth and stand ready to support and assist in the future.”

About Skywriter MD

Skywriter MD provides real-time, virtual medical scribe services (Skywriters) to help physicians navigate the EMR and record data during the patient encounter, which increases the accuracy and safety of documentation and prescriptions, while decreasing the heavy documentation burden. Using Skywriter MD’s unique and proprietary software that provides on-screen and audio collaboration, Skywriters navigate the EMR, enter discrete data into the EMR’s progress notes and H&P’s, execute tasks and write orders as directed. Enhanced provider efficiency fosters greater patient throughput while improving the care experience. A revolutionary approach to scribe services removes the invasive and obstructive presence from the patient room, while delivering exceptional service, a strong return on investment, and improved documentation quality.
