Perryman to Discuss Economy at BVEDC Event

Steve Fullhart

Distinguished economist Dr. Ray Perryman will once again discuss his latest projections for the Brazos Valley, state and nation as part of a Brazos Valley Economic Development Corporation event.

The Marketplace Luncheon will take place Thursday, September 30 at 11:30AM at the Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center. Tickets are open to the public and available through September 24 at 5:00PM.

This marks the second consecutive year the president/CEO of The Perryman Group will offer his world-renowned expertise at a BVEDC gathering. His economic research and analysis firm based in Waco serves more than 2,500 clients, including the majority of both the Global 25 and the Fortune 100. Texas Monthly called Dr. Perryman "the most quoted man in Texas," and the New York Times referred to him as "the unofficial state economist."

As part of his presentation, Dr. Perryman will discuss key trends underlying future performance, including the recovery from the global pandemic, challenges at the national and state levels, and areas for potential growth.

The luncheon is the third event in the three-part Marketplace Series being put on by the BVEDC in Fall 2021. The first two events are available to members of Invest Brazos Valley, the private investment group supporting economic development in the region. A presentation on the latest statistics from Texas A&M University's Private Enterprise Research Center, authors of the monthly "Economic Indicators of the College Station-Bryan MSA," is the first event in the series. A briefing by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is the second as part of IBV's third quarter meeting.
