The Brazos Valley Economic Development Corporation has earned a top prize in the Southern Economic Development Council’s 2020 Communication Awards Competition.
As part of the SEDC’s Annual Conference August 17-18, the BVEDC received the Special Judges' Award for Audio/Visual Impact for the “Brazos Valley Advantages” videos.
The BVEDC partnered with Brazos Valley-based Texas FilmWorks to create the three videos focusing on the location, talent and workforce, and quality of place advantages our region presents to companies and their employees. The features debuted in late 2019 and have been utilized in the BVEDC’s business development outreaches and presentations, added to the organization’s website and pushed on its social media platforms.
The SEDC is made up of economic development organizations in 17 states. Since 2011, they have held the Communication Awards to recognize excellence in message, marketing and outreach.
“Presenting the Brazos Valley to company executives and site selectors in the most impactful way is essential to our organization’s mission, and our project with Texas FilmWorks has greatly helped in accomplishing this,” said BVEDC President/CEO Matt Prochaska. “We continue to be thankful for the extraordinary work done with this local partner, and we appreciate the SEDC’s judges for recognizing it with this honor.”
