Brazos Valley Job Growth Earns High National Marks

Business Facilities Magazine recently released its 2018 Metro Rankings Report, and the College Station/Bryan metro area placed in the top ten nationally in two categories.
College Station/Bryan was eighth nationally and tops in Texas for job growth rate among medium size metro areas (100,000-500,000 employment). The rankings are based on year-to-year percentage growth shown in numbers from the Bureau of Labor and Statistics.
"It's exciting to see the Brazos Valley contribute to the outstanding business environment in the State of Texas, as well as being a national leader in job creation," said BVEDC President/CEO Matt Prochaska.
The College Station/Bryan metro area also was tenth nationally and first in Texas for food processing employment per capita.
In addition, the State of Texas was also in the top ten in most categories of the Business Facilities 2018 State Rankings Report.
